Bowdon High School junior Averi Lowen has won her third consecutive state title in girls cross country. With a time of 16:56.12, Lowen beat her sophomore season state championship time by almost a full minute and her freshman state championship time by over three minutes. Again this year, she was the fastest female runner in Georgia regardless of classification. Lowen finished five and a half minutes ahead of the second place Class A, Div. II female finisher and one and a half minutes faster than the next fastest girl in the state. She finished almost 15 second ahead of the Class A, Div. II men's state champion. Lowen is ranked No. 1 in the Dyestat XC national rankings. Congratulations to Bowdon High School's Averi Lowen on another truly remarkable achievement!
