The Carroll County Schools Superintendent Student Ambassadors traveled to the University of West Georgia this week for a behind the scenes tour with the UWG Blue Coats. The Blue Coats are a select group of UWG students from a diverse range of activities and disciplines who serve as hosts and ambassadors for the University Advancement team. The Blue Coats partner with Carroll County Schools to build student leaders through the Superintendent Student Ambassador program which includes students from each Carroll County middle and high school.
During this campus visit, the Blue Coats showed the Carroll County Student Ambassadors how they help host special guests at the Stadium Suites, and how they lead campus tours for a number of guests, prospective donors and prospective students. Ambassadors learned how to engage with an audience and help them understand more about campus and the college or school as a whole. During the tour, senior ambassadors were given the opportunity to experience the climbing wall in the Campus Center. After the tour, Ambassadors had lunch with the UWG Honors College and a panel of Honors College students who shared advice for the college search process and campus life after enrollment. A big thank you goes to the UWG Blue Coats, the Honors College, and all those who worked to host our Student Ambassadors!
