Carroll County Schools

Carroll County Schools crowned its annual District Spelling Bee champions January 22 at the Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center. Eighteen students from Carroll County elementary and middle schools competed in the event. Emily Adams, a fifth-grade student from Bowdon Elementary School spelled her way to first place and Sharp Creek Elementary School fourth grader Bennett Pearson was runner-up.  By winning first place in the District Spelling Bee, Adams is eligible to compete in the Georgia Association of Educators Region Spelling Bee, the winner of which will advance to the state bee. Congratulations to Emily and Bennett!
