Carroll County Schools has been awarded a Safer Georgia Schools Grant in the amount of $190,000 to be used for safety enhancements at district schools. The Safer Georgia Schools Grant is intended to support the health and safety of students in Georgia through funding for programs and activities, equipment and supplies to improve infrastructure, professional development, and personnel. In total, 74 school districts across the state were funding in round one. The Georgia Department of Education is awarding the grants in two funding rounds this year with a maximum award of $250,000 per school district combined between the two rounds.

Langford teaches at Ithica Elementary and was named Best Elementary Teacher. Brown teaches at Bay Springs Middle and was named Best Middle School Teacher. Valentine teaches at Villa Rica High and was named Best High School Teacher. Carroll County Schools was voted Best Employer.
